Danny Socolof

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer
Danny has been a music fan his entire life, starting with playing classical trumpet in Long Island grade school and promoting concerts in high school and at the Wharton School Of Business at the University of Pennsylvania. He moved to the mid-west and began promoting hundreds of concerts across mid west states until he was introduced to legendary WHO manager Bill Curbishley in 1979, leading to the historic sponsorship of THE WHO (representing the artist) and a long friendship with Curbishely and the band. In 1984, Socolof moved to New York City and founded the country's pre-eminent music branding organization The Marketing Entertainment Group of America, Inc. (MEGA) which has flourished for 24 years and has offices in New York, Los Angeles and Las Vegas. MEGA has crafted some of the most innovative music marketing and branded deals including the Led Zeppelin Cadillac association featuring the classic "Rock 'n Roll" (representing the artist), the Pepsi iTunes and Pepsi Amazon MP3 marketing partnerships (representing Pepsi) and many sponsorship arrangements with artists including: Kanye West, Gwen Stefani, Beyonce, Green Day, and more. MEGA works closely with Pepsi, Xbox, and other world class organizations providing strategic music marketing advice and organizing large scale initiatives.

Jeff Henshaw

Co-Founder and Chief Technical Officer
Jeff believes passionately that when great technology ideas are coupled with fun entertainment experiences, magic happens. He's built a career upon that ideal, and in doing so has helped music lovers, gamers, students, professionals, and families around the world connect and grow closer together through shared online experiences. At DeepRockDrive, Jeff manages the technical strategy, engineering team, and industry partnerships that weave interactive, connected online experiences into live music concerts in a way that brings new fun and new friends to artists and fans at every show that the DeepRockDrive community creates. Prior to co-founding DeepRockDrive, Jeff one of the founders of Microsoft's Xbox® product group and eventually went on to serve as Executive Producer for Xbox Digital Entertainment, directing Microsoft's strategy for broadening the appeal digital entertainment products to a diverse worldwide audience. In his 17 years at Microsoft, Henshaw led a broad range of strategic investments including software development tools, Internet Explorer, and entertainment services. In the ancient past, Jeff studied computer science at Oregon State University, where his passion for digital entertainment grew through online collaboration around music and video production.

David Helfant

General Manager and Chief Operating Officer
Joining the company as General Manager/COO is David Helfant, a prominent entertainment attorney with clients that have included Van Halen, Slash and Savage Garden. Helfant also served in senior management positions at Paramount Pictures, Immergent Records and as an independent Executive Producer for MTV Networks and several major record companies over the years. David is also a member of the Board of Governors of NARAS for the last 6 years and currently acts as the newly-elected Secretary of the Los Angeles Chapter, the organization that gives out the Grammy Awards every year.
 

CJ de Villar

Director of Audio - Lead Mix Engineer
CJ de Villar is a 25 year music production veteran from Los Angeles who has engineered audio for giants like Quincy Jones, Van Halen, and Michael Jackson to name a few, and has mixed several thousand live events for the L.A live music scene. This mixture of high-end chart topping music engineering with the breakneck speed of live production has made CJ a rare breed in the world broadcast and content music production.
 

Chris Evans

Social Software Engineer
Chris leads the development charge for the live show experience and in-show interactive features - smashing the barriers between fans and artists during online performances, while inventing innovative and exciting new ways for fans to interact directly with artists on stage. After spending several years playing in bands and engineering and producing albums at Quadrangle Studios in Ann Arbor, Michigan, he entered the software development world and spent the next 15 years developing applications for Macintosh, Windows and the internet - among them - Internet Explorer for Macintosh, Outlook Express, MSN Explorer, the Windows Photo Gallery and the user experience for Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista. When the opportunity appeared to combine his music production and performance history with internet software engineering at DeepRockDrive, Chris jumped in with both feet and hasn't looked back!
 

Ryan Gunn

Design Ninja
As a Design Ninja, Ryan is responsible for the end-to-end design of the DeepRockDrive experience. He has a passion for music, interactive entertainment, and immersive, usable digital interfaces. He joined DeepRockDrive in November, 2007 after 6 great years on the Xbox design team at Microsoft, where he was responsible for design of the media features for the Xbox 360 platform. When not designing DeepRockDrive, you can find him riding motorcycles, playing guitar with his band - Uncle Rico and the Combovers - or pounding espresso shooters somewhere in Seattle.
 

Schuyler Hagglund

Online Community Manager
As the online community manager, Schuyler's job is to keep our online community of fans and music enthusiasts happy with our product. He manages the DeepRockDrive Blog, provides customer service, feedback and technical support, and manages DeepRockDrive's digital media content across many online communities such as MySpace, Facebook and YouTube. During live shows, he also manages interactive features in the soundstage - ensuring that feedback and communication from showgoers are seen and acknowledged by the artists. He is a one man band of incredible flexibility and multitasking goodness.
 

Steve Hall

Talent Manager
As the Talent Director for DeepRockDrive, Steve is responsible for booking the amazing artists that perform at our live shows. Prior to joining DeepRockDrive, he did music marketing for MySpace. The first time he heard about DeepRockDrive, he was blown away and knew it was something he wanted to be a part of, and at the first opportunity, packed his bags and joined our team. He couldn't be more stoked.
 

Stefanie Helms

Director of Finance
Stefanie comes to DeepRockDrive with a background in broadcast media, publishing, and music licensing. As Director of Finance, she is responsible for managing financial operations including heading up our Accounting, Finance, HR and Investor Relations divisions as well as collaborating on new business development and contract administration. Stefanie develops our major company policies and procedures for business operations and provides overall guidance to the budget, purchase, account, personnel, payroll and other related administrative offices of DeepRockDrive.
 

Danny Lairamore

Post Production Supervisor
With a background in both television and film production, Danny Lairamore is thrilled to be member of the DeepRockDrive team. Having earned his BA in television production at Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles, Lairamore moved back to his home town, Las Vegas, to pursue a freelance production career in early 2006. In what he considers a startling bit of serendipity, Lairamore began his full time position at DeepRockDrive in mid October of 2007 where he now performs a variety of functions from editing, to content creation, to camera operation. He is also involved in many other technical aspects of the production and post production process at DeepRockDrive.
 

Brian Lizzie

Technical Director and Facilities Manager
Brian Lizzie is our Technical Director and Facilities Manager. He draws on over 20 years of production experience to put it all together and make it all happen. If it happens in our studios, he is part of it. Basically... he has been there, done that, and has the battle scars to back it up.
 

Pat Loughery

Social Software Engineer
Pat is responsible for DeepRockDrive's server software, and making sure that we are able to handle as many fans, artists and shows as possible. Pat has a passion for social software. He's been in the software industry since 1989, having worked on packaged software, software services, advanced user interface research, kids' educational software and pretty much everything in between. He has spent several years as a pastor and is pursuing a doctoral degree in theology and leadership. He's also a music and photography nut - and he loves the creative expression of music and photography (and photographing live music).
 

Jon Madison

Social Software Engineer
Jon Madison is a software developer with over 10 years experience with world wide web development. He is a social software junkie and music fiend; DeepRockDrive is a dream gig. He is a father to three and husband to one. Jon has partnered an underground hip hop record label for over 5 years and has DJ'd as "DJ Allstar" for over 15 years. His mixtapes have been heard the world round. He has an insatiable love of taking pictures, and can be found wielding one of his many cameras at every opportunity.
 

Tommy Mullins

Audio Monitor Engineer
As Audio Monitor Engineer for DeepRockDrive, Tommy's main duties include providing the performing artists with high quality monitor mixes and all other audio related needs in the production space. He also assists with interactive setup and IT networking. Tommy has been a professional audio engineer for over 12 years and had the chance to mix, engineer and provide system designs in a wide variety of situations involving virtually every musical style. Having migrated to Las Vegas from the Mid-Atlantic region, he worked as the on-stage monitor engineer at The Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino prior to joining the DeepRockDrive team.
 

Bertrand Paré

Intractive Video Director
Bertrand is our live interactive video director at DeepRockDrive. His background in editing, web design and directing music videos and live concerts, along with his passion for new media and music made Bert the perfect candidate to step into the future of live entertainment. The Montreal-born director was one of the youngest live directors and cameramen on tour starting at the age of 19. He has worked with Backstreet Boys, Kiss, Elton John, 'N Sync and Prince among many others.
 

Kurt Rough

Operations Manager
Kurt comes to DeepRockDrive with over 13 years of technical startup experience. As the Operations Manager he is responsible for architecting and managing the production data center environments and video streaming environments. In the past he has worked at companies such as Aquantive, Avanade, Check Point Software, and Metainfo. When he is not working he can either be found in his basement making some odd ghoulish sculpture, or BBQ'ing something or other in the backyard.
 

Lexie Tenner

Production Assistant
As a Production Assistant for DeepRockDrive, Lexie is responsible for assisting the entire production staff in building sets, coordinating meetings, scheduling camera men, and various other tasks. She has worked in marketing, public relations, retail, and music. Lexie moved to Las Vegas from Orange County a year and a half ago and joined the DeepRockDrive team. In her free time, she enjoys live music, snowboarding, running, watching movies, and going out with her friends.

Tom Wilcox

Software/load/stress tester
Tom is responsible for testing the functionality of the DeepRockDrive applications and software. He has been a software tester since 1999 and truly enjoys finding, reproducing and writing bugs. He has also worked for Microsoft, STlabs and Fastchannel.com. The moment that his friend Pat showed him DeepRockDrive website he was hooked and became involved immediately, finding and reporting bugs long before he actually worked here. Tom is passionate about music and guitar playing. He spent two years working for Floyd Rose building, assembling and repairing customized guitars for artist such as Brad Whitford, Ritche Sambora, Maroon 5, Mick Mars, Robert Randolph, Roger Fisher, Christina Aguilera, Alicia Keys, Blue Oyster Cult, Cradle of Filth and many more. Tom grew up in Newport Beach California where music (and skateboarding) were the two most important things in his life. He lived a few miles from the world famous Cuckoos Nest and was lucky enough to see many of the classic punk acts of the day. In the early 80's his folks moved to Seattle and a few years later he found himself head deep in the Seattle grunge and metal scene where he shared the bill with many of the now famous Seattle bands.
