DeepRockDrive is building the most popular online destination for live, interactive concerts. Fans and artists work together to create demand for live shows, and they carry that collaboration into the performances where they interact live. Fans can choose and switch between camera angles, making their view of the show truly their own. Audiences vote on the next song to be performed. Digital applause can be "shouted out" from fans on the Internet to the artists at DeepRockDrive's high definition studio in Las Vegas. Our website and service is built by a fun team of engineers in Bellevue, Washington. By blending the excitement of live music performance with the interactivity afforded by excellent web-based social software, we are giving artists and fans new tools and a new community in which to interact together. But we need your help.
Locations
Our production facilities are in Las Vegas, Nevada and all production jobs will require work on-site. Our software development offices are in Bellevue, Washington and, while remote work is possible, we prefer candidates who can work in our offices at least 2-3 days per week.

Software Engineering - Bellevue, Washington
- We need great developers most of all.
- As much as deep technical skills are critical for us, the most successful working relationships we’ve had over the past few months have been with folks who are incredibly professional, disciplined, focused, and leave their egos at the door. Attitude comes first.
- On the front end we use HTML, CSS, AJAX, Flash. On the back end it’s Linux+Apache+PHP+MySQL. Knowledge of Rails, Silverlight and other similar technologies is usually very transferrable. Typically we like to work with folks who can span the front and back ends. Folks with expertise in one or another are ok as long as they understand how to interact with the other side. And for front end folks, we need production code quality only. No prototype code.
- You can stay working out of your home office or cool studio or neighborhood café. Though you’re more than welcome to come by and hang out working at our Bellevue development offices whenever the mood strikes you.
- We prefer folks based in the Seattle area so we can have at least a few face to face meetings. But once we get comfortable, folks can work anywhere on the planet where there’s internet.
- We pay competitively, we’re good to work with, and we have a bunch of fun efforts underway on which we are striving to do our absolute best.
Flash/ActionScript Developer
- DeepRockDrive is looking for an expert Flash/ActionScript developer to join our team to help build our revolutionary interactive experience.
- A successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of Flash, ActionScript 2.0 and 3.0, as well as PHP. This is not about creating Flash animations, it is doing hardcore development in ActionScript and PHP to create an exciting new online music experience. They will be able to work well with designers and other developers and be able to deliver top quality code on tight schedules.
